Clarendon and AEGIS AEGIS was set up by a small group of guardianship organisations to endeavour to ensure quality in guardianship. It has the support of the schools' professional bodies, the HMC and SHMIS (for the boys' and co-educational schools), GSA (for the girls' schools) and IAPS (for the Preparatory schools) as well as the Department for Trade and Industry, the British Council and Social Services. Clarendon has been involved with AEGIS from the very first meeting of three forward-thinking guardianship organisations determined to promote best and legal practice in the care of overseas students. We were on the original steering committee and Danice has served for many years on the executive committee. A trained boarding schools and state schools inspector, Danice has been involved in writing the Inspection Criteria and Handbook as well as training inspectors. Clarendon and AEGIS believe in setting the highest standards of care for overseas students. All aspects of Clarendon guardianship have been inspected as part of the AEGIS accreditation procedure, including office administration, financial stability, legal documentation, appropriate pastoral and educational support for children and the quality of our Clarendon Families. |
